Workshops & More

We believe in engaging our community in ways they connect with — whether that be through a pollinator workshop in the local garden, an educational hour at the library, or a walk through the stream. Check our calendar regularly to catch our next event!

Pollinator Gardens & Seed-Starting

Water quality is directly affected by land use within the watershed. By making environmentally-minded choices for our lawns and gardens, you can improve the conditions of the watershed from home. Planting Pennsylvania native flowers is an easy starting point, and provides a beautiful escape from the buzz of the city.

Stream Walks

Wade into a deeper understanding of watershed ecology by taking a stroll through the stream. There is a world of information to be learned from the steep sloping streambanks of Saw Mill Run as it flows through Seldom Seen Greenway.

Watershed Day

Watershed Day is a platform for igniting positive conversation on local watershed stewardship. By using hands-on, interactive activities, participants learn about their community’s water resources in a fun and memorable way. Citizens celebrate water through games, make-and-take projects, demonstrations, streamside exploration and much more.
